Ellis Ranch

A Journey to Accessibility

Ellis Ranch has been a valued Care Plan client of ours since 2021. In 2024, they decided to take a proactive step toward improving their website’s accessibility and removing their reliance on an accessibility overlay.

Our initial accessibility scan revealed over 360 errors and warnings, highlighting significant challenges. Given the site’s age and existing structure, we recommended rebuilding it with a modern, accessibility-first approach to address these issues most cost-efficiently.

Throughout the rebuild, we not only resolved accessibility concerns but also improved the user experience (UX), updated the design of key pages, while ensuring the site maintained its signature look-and-feel. Accessibility was our top priority from start to finish.

The result? A much more accessible website that achieved 100% passed tests using tools like the Accessibility Checker plugin. The site now adheres to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 standard for accessibility, providing a more inclusive experience for all users.

To ensure the site stays compliant, it is now monitored regularly as part of our Care Plan services. Ellis Ranch can confidently serve their audience knowing their website is both beautiful and accessible!
