How to share files quickly and easily

Often I’ll need clients to send me files – documents for their contract or images for their website project. Normally I use Dropbox, but I’ve just discovered Ge.tt. Ge.tt is still in beta but I thought I’d give it a try.

Ge.tt's file sharing screenIt really couldn’t get much easier. Go to http://ge.tt/, click the big Share Files button. Choose the file(s) from your computer – and that’s it.

You then have the option of sharing on Facebook or Twitter, by email, or by copying and pasting the link. You can even add more files to your ‘share’ once it’s been created. Files expire in 30 days if you don’t have an account with Ge.tt, or 90 days with an account.

This is super-simple. If you need an easy way to share files with clients or colleagues, Ge.tt is worth a look.

I would ask if this site is HIPAA compliant as passing protected information could be a huge issue if it isn’t compliant. What level of security is there on this site?
